France Wins 2018 FIFA World Cup

On Sunday, July 15, 2018, France defeated Croatia 4-2 in the 2018 FIFA World Cup final at the Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow, Russia. This is France's second World Cup title, their first since 1998.

France took an early lead in the 18th minute when Mario Mandzukic scored an own goal. Ivan Perisic equalized for Croatia in the 28th minute, but Antoine Griezmann restored France's lead with a penalty in the 38th minute. Paul Pogba extended France's lead to 3-1 in the 59th minute, and Kylian Mbappe made it 4-1 in the 65th minute. Mandzukic scored his second goal of the match in the 69th minute, but it was not enough to prevent France from winning the World Cup.

France's victory was a triumph for manager Didier Deschamps, who became the third person to win the World Cup as both a player and a manager.
